Strojosvit should be revived
Article Abstract:
Strojosvit-F.CZ (Krnov, Czech Republic), tannery machine manufacturer, is on the edge of bankruptcy proceedings after its unsuccessful privatization. The firm's debts are CEK 200 mil and exceed its stock. New management should revive the firm and should sell it to a strategic partner. Before, the firm exported to India, China, Vietnam, Pakistan, countries of the former USSR and South America. The exports were only running down during the last few years. Strojosvit's privatization was started in 1996, when the state sold the company to the manager firm STG Strojosvit (STGS). STGS never paid for the firm and the National Property Fund cancelled the contract. In may 2001 the company was sold to B and P Consulting (Czech Republic).
