The influence of moving auditory stimuli on standing balance in healthy young adults and the elderly
Article Abstract:
The effect that auditory stimuli has on maintaining standing balance is examined, focusing on a study that compares the balance performance of young adults with elderly adults. Results indicate elderly adults sway more than younger adults when auditory stimulation changes under conditions of reduced visual and tactile feedback.
