New procedures set for V-22 Ospreys after component failure

V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft would require frequent replacement of a key component, after a nacelle blower blew apart and caused damage in a range of $200,000 and $1 million to one of the hybrid aircraft. The aircraft were also redesigned to remove safety hazards discovered by experts, such as hydraulic lines that could chafe and burst.
