US Facilities Corp
Article Abstract:
US Facilities Corp was hampered by its Jun 1992 quarter earnings decline despite posting a 30% revenue hike. The stock sustained a 50% drop from its 52-weel high despite a 50% rise in medical stop-loss reinsurance premiums for the 1st half 1992. USF Reinsurance Co's improved involvement in a quota share reinsurance agreement with Continental also failed to encourage investors. VP Douglas Boskus acquired 17,573 shares at 8 1/2 last Jul 15, 1992, increasing his holding to 85,509. US Facilities has no dividends on its six million shares.

Zenith National Insurance Corp
Article Abstract:
Shearson Lehman Brothers Inc's Michael Smith downgrades Zenith National Insurance Corp (ZNT) stocks from US $2.15 to $1.90. His evaluation is based on the current workers' compensation market situation in California, where a rollback in rates could result in heavy losses for the property and casualty insurance industry. ZNT Dir Gerald Tsai, Jr and Daniel Schwartz reacted differently to the appraisal with Tsai buying 50,000 shares and Schwartz divesting 155,000 shares.
