U.S. companies increasingly look for ISO label
Article Abstract:
US firms are increasingly seeking International Standards Organization (ISO) 9000 quality systems certification to gain additional market leverage in an increasingly competitive global economy. The ISO 9000 quality standards, developed by the Geneva-based entity in 1987, is applied in the EC but has gained a wider acceptance in the global community in recent years. Products stamped with the ISO 9000 quality standards certification are regarded as world-class commodities.
