US growing pains for ICI
Article Abstract:
ICI has encountered problems with its purchase of Grow Group of the US, an architectural coatings specialist, after being challenged by Sherwin-Williams of the US, a paint competitor. Sherwin Williams made a hostile tender offer claiming that it had been frozen out of the bidding process and it is to sue ICI and Grow over a breach of duty to shareholders in approved the ICI merger.

There is expected to be a further increase in Luxembourg's 1,300 plus funds during 1995. There are already 219 billion pounds sterling of funds under management in Luxembourg, making the market twice the size that of the UK. Fund groups operating in Luxembourg include Flemings, Fidelity, Mercury and Henderson.
