Upgrades: who needs 'em?
Article Abstract:
Software developers have crammed their products with so many features to the point of impracticality just to be ahead of the competition. Demands for new features in a software, the entry of faster computers, and the desire to keep up with the latest advances on the part of software developers all form part of the problem of upgrading. In the final analysis, it is the users who are at the losing end of this technological race, for their investment and training will quickly become obsolete once a new version is released.

3-D on UNIX
Article Abstract:
Low end-based versions of UNIX-based modeling programs are easy to use since users need not know the language. It also allows for innovations by designers in modeling. There has also been fall in costs of software by approximately 55%, since 1990. The program may not be very useful for heavy-duty modeling. The functionality of the software is less than some heavy-duty versions. Lot of research must be put in before the software could make a mark in the market.

Article Abstract:
Coca-Cola Company is changed the shape of plastic Coke bottles to its original 1915 curved glass bottle design in early 1993. The bottle was made of PET, and it helped in boosting Coke sales from 45 to 50%. It has also enhanced the image of the brand. Design changes were made after conducting a survey, which showed clearly customers' preference for the new bottle design. Coca-cola claims the cost of new packaging was not put on customers.
