Vodaphone AirTouch
Article Abstract:
Vodaphone AirTouch has seen a drop in its stock price following the announcement of a merger with Mannesmann. Forecasts are hampered by uncertainties relating to Orange and the enrgineering and fixed line activities of Mannesmann. Warburg Dillon Read rates the company's stocks a buy, as do Westlb Panmure and HSBC. The company's strategic position is seen as strong, and Vodaphone looks set to become the biggest mobile phone operator world wide.
