Weaving a new Web: more publishers moving directly to Internet
Article Abstract:
More business publishers are abandoning online services once they discover how easy it is to access the Internet via the World Wide Web. The trend, which has driven the emergence of interactive editors, is expected to grow due to the Internet's provision of a vehicle for value-added electronic publishing services. To date, online publishing services are provided by CMP Interactive Media's TechWeb, Penton Publishing's IndustryWeek and Electronic Marketplace Systems Inc.

AMD beats out Intel - for site, not for business
Article Abstract:
The Business Marketing periodical held a marketing shootout between Advanced Micro Devices Inc (AMD) and Intel Corp. The contest involved the efficiency of the chip-makers' Web sites to market their MMX technology-based multimedia processors. Of the 70 consumer panelists, 36 preferred AMD's Web site because it was easier to understand and access. Most respondents, however, report that they would buy Intel's MMX chip.
