Web sites starting to see need for backup
Article Abstract:
Marketers are recognizing the need to back-up World Wide Web sites to protect data in case of computer breakdown. There are many ways available to back up valuable data on the Web. Sprint Corp offers multiple servers in multiple locations to Web customers, while Cahners Business Information mirrors its Web data in multiple locations. Another route to protection is to have copies of the software and data on a second server at the same location, which can be immediately deployed when necessary.

Study: sites' design, message don't mesh
Article Abstract:
A well-designed World Wide Web site is the key to successful electronic commerce. A study conducted by Lippincott & Margulies found that the message and design of 75% of corporate Web sites do not match. Experts say the first step towards Web site usability is management's acceptance of the value of the site to the company. Such strategic direction must be understood and adopted by both designers and decision makers to be able to coherently deliver the brand message.
