Weldon says Navy funding for four ships 'unacceptable'

Rep. Curt Weldon, vice chairman of the House Armed Services Committee states that the Navy's funding for four ships in the next defense budget is falling short of what actually is needed. The Navy fleet has shrunk from almost 600 ships and submarines in the 1980s to 289 vessels as well as half of the fleet had disappeared.
