Komercni banka (Prague, Czech Republic), bank, saw a loss of CEK 9.5 bil in 2000 compared to a loss of CEK 9.8 bil and a loss of CEK 19 mil in 1998. The bank has a classified-credits share of 33.7%. It has 89 branches and owns 297 cash dispensers. Its majority shareholder is the National Property Fund of the Czech Republic. The state had to rescue the bank for the reason of bad credits. The state purchased bad credits worth a total of over CEK 80 bil from the bank and provided a guarantee for another CEK 20 bil.

The bank has a classified-credits share of 3%. It has eight branches and 19 branch offices. It owns 27 cash dispensers. Its majority shareholder is Bankgesellschaft Berlin (Germany). Zivnostenska Banka has been involved in the field of small-scale banking since 1998, when it started to set up its branch network.
