Quality Meats, a new restaurant in midtown Manhattan has interior designs inspired by a butcher shop, the old and famous Albanese Meats & Poultry. Designed by AvroKo, every detail of the eatery decor evokes a classical style butcher shop with hanging carcasses, vintage meat market scales and meat hook lighting fixtures and even an art installation made of cleavers.

Italian designer Fabio Novembre, in addition to introducing his inaugural line as creative director for Meritalia, unveiled a new seating system for Cappellini at the Milan furniture fair May 2006. The 8-foot-long, asymmetrical Revolutions Per Hour (RPH) morphs from upright seating on one end to recliner on the other.
