Who's who on the Council
Article Abstract:
Unilever East Asia and Pacific Regional Management Group Commercial Member Charles Monaghan, Scott Oswald & Co partner Alan Nelson, Glasgow University senior lecturer Pauline Weetman, and Downie Wilson partner Jim Smith are four of the seven new members that have been appointed to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland Council. Monaghan believes that keeping he ICAS independent will require the commitment of time, effort, and money. Nelson envisions his role on the Council as representing general practitioners. Smith would like to see the ICAS take more of an interest in the general practitioner members of smaller firms. Weetman states that her main concern is developing and maintaining the ICAS' high standards of education.
