The UK economic outlook at the end of 2005, for the year 2006 was weak, though it is recovering revealing that consumer spending is likely to strengthen in 2006, helping business investment spending to increase as well. The Lloyds TSB's Financial Markets Division survey of consumers shows higher inflation rates, rise in interest rates, increased investment spending, and rising export volumes.

"South-south" FDI flows growing
Article Abstract:
A glimpse into foreign direct investments in emerging markets is presented. It is observed that there is a tremendous increase in FDI from other developing countries, which is almost one third of all FDI moving towards developing countries.
