Despite globalization, defense industry posts wide 2004 trade surplus

The U.S.-based aerospace defense industry exported 41 percent more goods than it imported in 2004, despite increasing globalization of the military-industrial sector. Aerospace Industries Association (AIA)'s report states that aerospace military exports from the United States totaled $9.49 billion in 2004, while imports totaled $5.57 billion.

China uses American money to fund massive weapons programs

China is financing an enormous weapons possessions program that threatens Tiwan by the use of a huge amount of money obtained from American corporations and consumers. It is reported that US companies and consumers buy $120 billion more in goods and services from China than China buys from the United States.
