A DFT study of interaction of carbon monoxide with carbonaceous materials
Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to investigate the Co interaction with clean and oxidized carbonaceous models using density functional theories. It is expected that the carbonized surface during combustion and gasification processes can adsorb CO and yield stable oxygen complexes such as ether, carbonyl, ketone, and semiquinone (on clean surfaces), lactone and carbonate (on oxidized surfaces).

Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy studies on the adsorption and electrooxidation of carbon monoxide at the platinum-formic acid interface
Article Abstract:
The potential dependant surface-enhanced Raman spectra (SERS) of carbon monoxide adsorbed at the platinum-formic acid interface is reported. The comparisons of the present data and the previous studies in aqueous solutions show that the solution components, like dielectric in the inner double layer, may influence the interaction of CO with platinum.

Assessing the acidity of high silica Chabazite H-SSZ-13 by FTIR using CO as molecular probe: Composition with H-SAPO-34
Article Abstract:
Adsorption of CO on H-SSZ-13 and H-SAPO-34 is examined by transmission Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy at 70K. The Bronsted sites of H-SSZ-13 are composed of two families of OH groups, one family has an IR stretching frequency at 3616cm (HF) and the other has an IT stretching frequency at 3616cm (LF).
