Green and orange CdTe quantum dots as effective pH-sensitive fluorescent probes for dual simultaneous and independent detection of viruses
Article Abstract:
The development of a novel quantum-dots (QDs) based biosensor for detecting different kinds of viruses is discussed. Findings reveal the suitability of green and orange pH-sensitive CdTe QDs as convenient, cheap, reversible and effective fluorescent probes for monitoring the proton flux driven by ATP synthesis for dual simultaneous and independent detection of viruses based on the antibody-antigen reactions.

Determination of defect states in semiconductor Nanocrystals by cyclic voltammetry
Article Abstract:
Colloidal, monodisperse CdSe nanocrystals were homogeneously dispersed in an ionic liquid and investigated by means of cyclic voltammetry. The variation of the illumination and temperature resulted in excitation of defect-trapped electrons into the conducting band.
