Particulate and bulk bicontinous cubic phases obtained from mixtures of glyceryl monooleate and copolymers bearing blocks of lipid-mimetic anchors in water
Article Abstract:
The dispersed particulate phases of glycerylmonooeleate (GMO) in water was demonstrated using liquid precursors, which avoided the problems, related with the preparation of cubic particles. The liquid precursors were prepared by mixing GMO and poly(ethylene glycol)-based copolymers bearing lipid-mimetic anchors in desired ratios in glycerol.

Water adsorption on and desorption from crystalline copolymers of vinylidene fluoride with trifluoroethylene
Article Abstract:
The study examined water adsorption on crystalline polyvinylidene fluoride with 30% trifluoroethylene, P(VDF-TrFE, 70:30) by thermal desorption spectroscopy. It identified two distinctly different water desorption, one adsorbed species that resembles ice and another species that interacts more strongly with the polymer thin film.
