Atmospheric chemistry of trimethoxymethane, (CH3O)3CH; laboratory studies
Article Abstract:
The atmospheric oxidation of the alkyl and alkyl peroxy radicals derived from trimethoxymethane were investigated using pulse radiolysis. The OH radical concentration in the atmosphere was found to vary with location, time of day, season and meteorological conditions. However, a 24 h global average was observed, indicating that the atmospheric lifetime of trimethoxymethane with respect to reaction with OH radicals is two to four days.

Interaction of Y(sub Z)* with its environment in acetate-treated photosystem II membranes and reaction center cores
Article Abstract:
Research was conducted to examine the interaction of Y(sub Z)* with its environment in acetate-treated photosystem II membranes and reaction center cores. To analyze the radical interaction by magnetic resonance techniques. Results indicate a dominant exchange interaction between the manganese cluster an the radical in the preparations and led to an estimate of 8-9 angstrom for the spin-spin distance.

Multifrequency high-field EPR study of the interaction between the tyrosyl Z radical and the manganese cluster in plant photosystem II
Article Abstract:
It has been possible to show the importance of using a multifrequency approach to analyze spin-spin coupling interactions, especially high-field EPR. The application of high-field EPR makes it possible to directly assign the sign of the spin-spin coupling.
