Biomolecule-assisted synthesis and electrochemical hydrogen storage of Bi2S3 flowerlike patterns with well-aligned nanorods
Article Abstract:
A simple hydrothermal method based on a small-biomolecule-assisted technique is developed to synthesize Bi2S3 flowerlike patterns with well-arranged nanorods in a high yield at a low temperature. The novel Bi2S3 nanomaterials can be used in hydrogen storage, high-energy batteries, luminescence, optoelectronic and catalytic fields, as well as in the studies of structure-property relationships, and this can also be extended to the preparation of other metal chalcogenides including FeS, CuS, NiS, PbS, MnS and CoS nanostructures.

Microwave reflectance studies of photoelectrochemical kinetics at semiconductor electrodes 3. photoelectrochemical reduction of Ru(NH3)(sub 6) (super 3+) at p-Si
Article Abstract:
The reduction of Ru(NH3)(sub 6) (super 3+) at illuminated p-Si in ammonium fluoride solution was studied by a light modulated microwave reflectivity method. It is concluded that the reduction of Ru(NH3)(sub 6)(super 3+) does not involve direct electron transfer from the conduction band but is instead mediated by photogenerated hydrogen states.
