C70 in benzene, hexane, and toluene solutions
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the structural transformations of the C70 in benzene, toluene, and hexane solutions using x-ray powder diffraction techniques. The crystals were prepared from a benzene solution by slow evaporation. The Siemens D5000 diffractometer was utilized to carry out the x-ray diffraction experiments. Results indicated an orthorhombic structure for low-temperature phase and a mixture of a monoclinic phase supporting pure hcpI phase for high temperature.

C60.bromobenzene solvate: crystallographic and thermochemical studies and their relationship to C60 solubility in bromobenzene
Article Abstract:
A room-temperature single-crystal X-ray diffraction showed that the solvate C60 with bromobenzene has the same composition with C60'tolene and C60/oxylene. The thermodynamic and structural properties of the solvated C60.2C6H5Br were then examined using solution calorimetry and differential scanning calorimetry. Results showed that the activity of bromobenzene vapor over the solvated crystal reduces from its value over the pure liquid by a factor of 3.5.

Adsorption of bromobenzene on periodically stepped and nonstepped NiO(100)
Article Abstract:
Various techniques are used to study the monolayer species formed on the surfaces of steeped and nonstepped NiO(100) on being exposed to bromobenzene. The results show that the bromine adsorbed on the NiO substrates from the dehalogenation processes appears as nickel bromide.
