Comparative ESR and catalytic studies of ethylene demerization on Pd (II)-exchanged clinoptilolite, mordenite, ferrierite, and SUZ-4
Article Abstract:
The four channel-type zeolites, clinoptillolite, mordenite, ferrierite, and SUZ-4 are highlighted to observe the influence of their characteristic channel on the catalytic activity of ethylene dimerization is studied. The catalytic results indicate that ethylene dimerization occurs in ion-exchanged clinoptilolite, mordenite, ferrierte and SUZ-4 by the electronic spin resonance results observed after the adsorption of ethylene on thermally reduced samples.

Adsorption kinetics of CO2, 02, N2, and CH4 in cation-exchanged clinoptilolite
Article Abstract:
The cation exchange of natural clinoptilolite-rich tuff with NaCl, KCl, CaCl2, aqueous solutions substantially influenced the adsorption kinetics of CO2, o2, N2, and CH4. Diffusive restriction in zeolite channels led to slow absorption of CH4 due to channel blockage by Na+ cations, which decrease the absorption rate with decreasing kinetic diameter of the gas molecule.

Ab initio studies on the atomic-scale origin of friction between diamond (111) surfaces
Article Abstract:
The friction force was found to increase linearly with the normal load, indicating that Amontons' law also holds true in the microscale world. The goal of this study was to model the atomic-scale friction of a hydrogenated diamond (111) surface, C13H22, with a suitable ab initio method.
