Deconvolution analysis of Ga K-edge XANES for quantification of gallium coordinations in oxide environments
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze gallium oxides supporting different crystal phases, crystallinity and dispersion states using X-ray absorption spectroscopy. A series of Ga2O3 samples were prepared in different ways to determine a wide structural variety of Ga2O3. Experimental results indicated that gallium atoms supporting different coordination symmetry can be quantitatively estimated using a deconvolution analysis of X-ray absorption spectroscopy.

Structural analysis of iron and manganese species in iron- and manganese-promoted sulfated zirconia
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the structural characteristics of iron and manganese species in iron and manganese-promoted sulfated zirconia. XAFS, XRD and Raman spectroscopy were utilized to carry out the analysis. The Rigaku Rint 1300 diffractometer was utilized to obtain X-ray diffraction patterns. Results indicated that the presence of manganese species on the catalyst as alpha-Mn2O3 correlated with the absence of sulfate ions.

Characterization of li-doped MgO catalysts for oxidative coupling of methane by means of Mg k-Edge XANES
Article Abstract:
Structural analyses are carried out in the near surface and bulk phase of MgO in Li-doped MgO, by means of XRD, XPS, Mg K-edge XANES, and SEM techniques to characterize active defect sites. The defect species containing Li(super +)-O(super -) in both surface and bulk can act as the active species for producing C(sub 2) compounds with high selectivity is concluded.
