Flocculation-induced homolysis of hydrogen peroxide in aqueous colloid solution of titanium dioxide nanoparticles
Article Abstract:
Thermal generation of oxygen and hydroxylated aromatic compounds by hydrogen peroxide, catalyzed by flocculation of titanium dioxide nanocrystallites aqueous suspension upon addition of hydrogen peroxide is reported. Comparison of the activation energy to literature values in the absence of nanoparticles indicates that the flocculation induces an increase of the rate without decreasing the activation energy.

Role of excess electrons in TiO2 nanoparticles coated with Pt in reduction reactions studied in radiolysis of aqueous solutions
Article Abstract:
Surface modification of TiO2 nanocrystalline is conducted in aqueous solution by reduction of chloroplatinic acid with TiO2 electrons. The TiO2 electrons are generated through electron injection from 1-propanol radicals, hydrogen atoms, and hydrated electrons produced by gamma or pulse radiolysis prior to the addition of the chloroplainic acid.

Optical properties and reactions of radiation induced TiO2 electrons in aqueous colloid solutions
Article Abstract:
An experimental study of the optical properties of excess electrons in solvated TiO2 nanoparticles is presented. The excess electrons were produced by gama irradiation of deaerated 2-propanol solutions containing TiO2 nanoparticles in acidic pH.
