Thermodynamic study on a chiral glass former, 4-(1-methylheptyloxy)-4'-cyanobiphenyl
Article Abstract:
The apparent inconsistency based on precise calorimetry in an expanded temperature range is analyzed, and the information on the glass transition of the liquid-quenched glass (LQG) is presented. The results of adiabatic calorimetry on both c-8*OCB and a racemic mixture of 8*OCB (r-8*OCB) are discussed.

Thermodynamics and dynamics of metallic glass formers: Their correlation for the investigation on potential energy landscape
Article Abstract:
An experimental study on the potential energy landscape (PEL) is conducted. It is found that the increased rate of excitation of vibrational entropy at glass transition tends to increase the rate of generation of configurational part.
