Stability analysis of three-dimensional colloidal domains: Quadratic fluctuations
Article Abstract:
Three-dimensional domain patterns can self-assemble in a charged colloidal suspension with competing short-range attraction and long-range Yukawa repulsion. The free energy variation in the framework of the continuum model is expanded to quadratic terms under the constraint of constant volume.

Quantum yield of formaldehyde formation in the presence of colloidal TiO(sub 2)-based photocatalysts: Effects of intermittent illumination, platinization, and deoxygenation
Article Abstract:
Colloidal TiO(sub 2) is prepared and modified by photodeposition of Pt (PtTi-S1) and by mixing with Pt nanoparticles (PtTi-S2). Transmission electron microscopy reveals particle aggregation in colloidal TiO(sub 2) and large networks of agglomerated particles in the platinized samples.
