Kinetics of SO(sub 2) adsorption on photoexcited alpha-Fe(sub 2)O(sub 3)
Article Abstract:
The interaction of SO(sub 2) with single-crystal alpha-Fe(sub 2)O(sub 3)(0001) surfaces with and without UV irradiation between 267 and 331 K was studied. It is found that SO(sub 2) adsorbs on both stoichiometric and reduced surfaces and desorbs above 675 K.

Direct molecular imaging of NO monomers and dimers and a surface reaction on Ag{111}
Article Abstract:
Individual NO monomers, with adsorption at 4-65K and at low coverages, are imaged at 4K and appear as depressions in the STM images. The low barrier to diffusion, together with its appearance in STM, proves that monomer is weakly chemisorbed.
