Magnetic properties of carboxylate-bridged ferromagnetic copper(II) chains coupled by cation-pi interactions
Article Abstract:
The study was done on the properties of Carboxylate-bridged ferromagnetic Copper (II) chains by ac magnetic susceptibility and dc magnetization measurements in powder samples, and by EPR measurements in single-crystal samples. The results show that even a small magnetic interaction transmitted through a cation interaction between a metal ion and an aromatic ring can be identified and evaluated.

Magnetic properties of Ferromagnetic Quasi-1D copper-peptide compounds: Exchange interactions and very low temperature phase transitions
Article Abstract:
The magnetic properties of the Cu(II)-peptide compounds (L-tyrosyl-L-leucinato)Cu(II) and (L-tryptophyl-glycinato)Cu(II), to be identified as Cu(II)Tyr-Leu and Cu(II) Trp-Gly, are investigated. A Ferromagnetic (FM) and AFM interactions transmitted through the less symmetric and weaker syn-anti carboxylate bridges are reported in clustered and in polymeric copper compounds.

Dynamic molecular structure and phase diagram of DPPC-cholesterol binary mixtures: a 2D-ELDOR study
Article Abstract:
The application of 2 dimensional electron-electron double resonance (2D-ELDOR) is demonstrated as a suitable system to study the dynamic molecular structures of microdomains in model membrane system. The performance of system is tested for 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycerophosphatidylcholine (DPPC)-cholesterol binary mixtures in excess water.
