Microscopic observation and in-situ Raman scattering studies on high-pressure phase transformations of Kr hydrate
Article Abstract:
Direct microscopic observations and in-situ Raman scattering measurements of synthesized single-crystalline Kr hydrate is performed at pressures up to 5.2 GPa and 296 K. Raman scattering measurements for observed phases have indicated that the lattice vibrational peak at around 130 [cm.sup.-1] disappears in the pressure region of a cubic structure (sI), which helps in distinguishing the sI phase from cubic structure II (sII) and hexagonal structure H (sH).

Optical microscopy and in situ Raman scattering crystalline ethylene hydrate and binary methane-ethylene hydrate at high pressures
Article Abstract:
A study for high-pressure properties of single crystalline ethylene hydrate(EH) and binary methane-ethylene (MEH) prepared by diamond anvil cell (DAC) by means of photomicrography in situ Raman scattering measurement at room temperature with pressure at 3.7 GPa through a microscope is presented. The study showed that both the hydrates, EH and MEH showed phase transition at 1.6, 2.0 and 3.0 GPa for EH and 1.7, 2.1 and 3.3 GPA foe MEH

Enhanced resonant Raman scattering and electron-phonon coupling from self-assembled secondary ZnO nanoparticles
Article Abstract:
Self-assembled secondary ZnO nanoparticles, recognized with the agglomeration of crystalline subcrystals are successfully synthesized by a simple sol-gel method. From TEM analyses, the artificial clusters behave like a single crystal structure, owing to the subcrystals coagulating as the same crystal orientation with adjacent ones through the sintering process.
