Origin of the dual structural transformation of trehalose dihydrate upon dehydration
Article Abstract:
The duality amorphous phase/polymorphic phase that characterizes the dehydration of T2H2O is investigated for a variety of dehydration protocols. The main pertinent physical parameter governing the duality is the instantaneous rate of water release and not the thermal treatment used to dehydrate the sample.

Dynamics of the amorphous and the crystalline alpha-, gamma-phases of indomethacin
Article Abstract:
Crystallization processes in indomethacin can be observed below T(sub g) leading to different forms depending on the thermal treatment. A rapid and deep quench below T(sub g) leads to the metastable alpha-phase and a slow cooling close to T(sub g) gives rise to the stable gamma-phase.
