Monomer exchange kinetics, radial diffusion, and hydrocarbon chain isomerization of sodium dodecylsulfate micelles in water
Article Abstract:
A study makes use of the broadband ultrasonic spectrometry to observe and describe the molecular relaxation properties, monomer exchange kinetics, radial diffusion and hydrocarbon chain isomerization of sodium dodecylsulfate in aqueous solutions. The results show that the monomer concentration reduces significantly with an increase in the surfactant concentration for such micellar solutions, unlike the other nonionic surfactant systems.

Salt effect on the complex formation between polyelectrolyte and oppositely charged surfactant in aqueous solution
Article Abstract:
The complex formation between sodium carboxymethylcellulose (NaCMC) and dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB) at various sodium bromide concentrations are studied. The addition of salt is found to influence the formation of NaCMC/DTAB complexes markedly.
