Optical characterization of oligo(phenylene-ethnylene) self-assembled monolayers on gold
Article Abstract:
Self-assembled monolayer films of unsubstituted and mononitro-substituted oligo(phenylene-ethnylene) molecules on vapor-deposited Au substrates are characterized. Vibrationally resonant sum-frequency generation and spectroscopic ellipsometry is used for this purpose.

Circular dichroism simulated spectra of chiral gold nanoclusters: a dipole approximation
Article Abstract:
Isomers of bare Au28 and Au55 and thiol-passivated Au28(SCH3)(sub 16) and Au38(SCH3)(sub 24) clusters correspond to chiral nanostructures. The line shape of the CD spectra can differentiate the chiral gold clusters with different indexes of chirality.

Thermal properties of bacteriorhodopsin
Article Abstract:
The factors that control the structure and high stability of the protein bacteriohodopsin are determined by using calorimetry and spectroscopic experiments. Studies has reviewed that the unfolding of bR contributes much to its thermal stability.
