Oscillation of membrane potential in immobilized DNA membranes
Article Abstract:
DNA and poly (gamma-methyl-L-glutamate) membranes having a cis-diaminedichloro platinum group-generated oscillation of the membrane potential under a concentration gradient of several salts at frequencies between 0 and 5 Hertz at pH7.0 is bound to prepare immobilized DNA membranes. Intercalating molecules of DNA including the endocrine disruptors from the membrane potential oscillation data of the immobilized DNA membranes are recognized.

Excess electron transfer in DNA studied by pulse radiolysis and gamma-radiolysis of naphthalimide and iodouridine modified ODN
Article Abstract:
The distance dependence of excess electron transfer in DNA following one electron reduction of DNA is studied by using pulse radiolysis, transient absorption measurements and gama-radiolysis. The results driven from both pulse radiolysis and gamma-radiolysis experiments clearly demonstrate the low mobility of the excess electron in DNA which is in strong contrast to the occurrence of the long range hole transfer in DNA.

Calculation of quantum parameters for nonadiabatic redox reactions. Application photoreduction of flavin in DNA photolyase
Article Abstract:
The quantum effect of a continuous dielectric medium is shown to be reasonably well approximated by the same Jortner formula, eq 1.1, as that of the cofactors provided that the quantum parameters are chosen correctly. The approximation are compared with the exact rate and it is found that the most of the quantum effect is well reproduced in a wide range of the driving force.
