Oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane over Cr/ZSM-5 catalysts using CO2 as an oxidant
Article Abstract:
A study characterized highly active catalysts for oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane with CO2 by temperature-programmed reduction (TPR), temperature-programmed oxidation (TPO), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, and X-ray absorption fine-structure (XAFS) analysis. The [Cr.sup.6} species are reduced to an octahedral [Cr.sup.3} species by treatment with ethane at 773 K, and the reduced Cr species is reoxidized to the [Cr.sup.6} species by treatment with CO2 at 673-773 K.

Analysis of the effect of translation-rotation coupling on diffusion along the molecular axes
Article Abstract:
The results of a computer simulation aiming to investigate the effect of the translation-rotation coupling (TRC) on the diffusion along the molecular axes of carbon dioxide and water molecules are reported. The results indicate that the TRC is correlated to the local environment in shaping the longitudinal and transversal translation dynamics of a molecule at a microscopic level.
