Photochemistry of formaldehyde adsorbed on CO-saturated Cu(100)
Article Abstract:
The photochemistry of formaldehyde (H2CO) adsorbed on CO-saturated Cu(100) at 85 K is studied using electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) and temperature programmed desorption (TPD). The study shows that the formation of ethylene glycol is governed by geometric constraints present within the formaldehyde overlayer.

Adsorption and photochemistry of CF2Br2 (Halon 1202) on highly ordered pyrolytic graphite (HOPG)
Article Abstract:
The study was conducted to find whether the photochemistry of CF2Br2 is altered when it is adsorbed on a model carbonaceous aerosol surface. This implies that dissociative electron attachment does not significantly contribute to the adsorbate photochemistry.
