Reduction of Pt(II) by H2: Effects of citrate and NaOH and reaction mechanism
Article Abstract:
The features of the H2 reduction of Pt(II) are investigated, and the nature of the nanoparticles formed is studied by electron microscopy. It was found that the reduction by H2 at ambient temperature in the presence of sodium citrate yields Pt sols of particularly long lifetime.

Laser-induced inter-diffusion in AuAg core-shell nanoparticles
Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to investigate the laser-induced melting and alloy formation in AucoreAgshell nanoparticles and the associated spectral changes. The thresholds for laser-induced transformations are lower for picosecond laser pulses compared to nanosecond laser pulses.
