Sensitization effect of porphyrin dye on the photocurrent of Al/polythiophene Schottky-barrier cells
Article Abstract:
An enhanced photocurrent was obtained in an Al/polythiophene (PTh) Schottky-barrier cell when the top energy level of the valence band of PTh solid was more negative than the HOMO energy level of porphyrin. It concluded from the results that both a larger thermodynamic driving forces for a photoinduced hole transfer from porphyrin to PTh and a closer distance between the two conjugating planes of porphyrin and PTh are necessary to obtain a larger photocurrent.

Supramolecular triads formed by axial coordination of fullerene to covalently linked zinc porphyrin-ferrocene(s): Design, syntheses, electrochemistry, and photochemistry
Article Abstract:
Covalently-linked zinc-porphyrin-ferrocene(s) dyads, when self-assemble via axial coordination to either pyridine- or imidazole-appended fulleropyrrolidine, give rise to supramolecular triads. The optimized geometry obtained by ab initio B3LYP/3-21G methods and calculated binding constants (K) revealed closely spaced, stabilized complexation due to intermolecular interactions between ferrocene and fullerenes entities.

Enhanced photocurrent in Al/porphyrin schottky barrier cell with heterodimer consisting of metal-free porphyrin and zinc porphyrin
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine how a heterodimer with a metal-free porphyrin and zinc porphyrin strengthens photocurrent in Al/porphyrin Schottky barrier cell. Results indicate that the photocurrent enhancement is caused by heterodimer's capacity to ease the photoinduced intramolecular electron transfer that is facilitated by the axial coordination of the pyridyl group.
