Swollen micelles plus hydrophobically modified hydrosoluble polymers in aqueous solutions: decoration versus bridging. A small angle neutron scattering study
Article Abstract:
The effective interactions introduced between the droplets of an oil in water microemulsion upon progressive addition of hydrophobically modified water soluble polyethylene oxide (PEO) using essentially small angle neutron scattering was examined. Analogous samples with addition of a PEO grafted at both extremities with hydrophobic C12H25 chains or addition of a PEO grafted at one extremity only with a C12H25 chain were compared to discuss the relative importance of decoration and bridging of the droplets.

Complex formation between bovine serum albumin and strong polyelectrolytes: effect of polymer charge density
Article Abstract:
The binding of bovine serum albumin (BSA) to strong polyelectrolytes was investigated using light scattering and pH titration. Results showed that the critical protein charge for BSA-polyelectrolyte complex binding (Zpr)c depends on the Debye-Hucker parameter. Moreover, the impact of intrinsic polyelectrolyte stiffness on (Zpr)c is greater than the impact of polyelectrolyte linear charge density.
