The origin of time-resolved emission spectra (TRES) changes of 4-aminophthalimide (4-AP) in SDS micelles. The role of the hydrogen bond between 4-AP and water present in micelles
Article Abstract:
The analysis of shape and position of the TRES of 4-aminophthalimide (4-AP) dissolved in aqueous micellar solutions of SDS surfactant (0.15 M), the TRES changes especially in the first several tens of picoseconds cannot be explained only as a result of a nonspecific process is discussed. The results reveal the correlation function C(t) can be reliably related to the process of nonspecific solvation only when the shape of TRES does not undergo the significant changes with time.

Structural and transport properties of bola C-16 micelles in water and in aqueous electrolyte solutions
Article Abstract:
Aqueous solution in the absence and presence of added lithium chloride, sodium chloride, and hydrochloric acid occurring when Bola C-16 operates in real systems is described. A reasonable agreement between experimental data and calculated intensities was obtained, taking into account amino group hydrolysis and assuming that the interaction potential is a sum of hard sphere and coulombic contributions.

Shape and position of 4-aminophthalimide (4-AP) time-resolved emission spectra (TRES) versus sodium dodecyl sulfate SDS concentration in micellar solutions: The partitioning of 4_AP in the micellar phase and in water surrounding the micelles
Article Abstract:
Time-resolved emission spectra (TRES) of 4-aminophthalimide (4-AP) dissolve in water solutions of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) for three surfactant concentrations (0.05, 0.15, and 0.45M) are determined. The fraction of 4-AP dissolved in water phase surrounding micelles is shown to increase with decreasing concentration of the surfactant.
