Ultrafast energy transport in a first-generation coumarin-tetraphenylporphyrin dendrimer
Article Abstract:
Investigation of a newly synthesized coumarin-tetraphenylporphyrin donor-acceptor system is studied by time- and frequency-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy. The analysis showed that the observed fluorescence transients are not sensitive to the occurrence of annihilation when the rate of the second energy transfer steps is similar to that of the first one and the relaxation of resulting highly excited states of the acceptor is fast compared to the transfer time(s).

Article Abstract:
Polar diffusive protein and solvent dynamics in Zn(II)-substituted cytochrome c are characterized. The results show that two types of polypeptide motions are sensed by the intrinsic Zn(II) porphyrin.
