Photocatalytic activities of pure rutile particles isolated from TiO2 powder by dissolving the anatase component in HF solution
Article Abstract:
The isolation of pure rutile particles from titanium dioxide (TiO2) powders having rutile and anatase phases with an HF solution and the photocatalytic properties of pure rutile TiO2, which were isolated from the powder are presented. Results indicate the ineffectiveness of the rutile surface for reduction of oxygen.

Preparation, testing and characterization of doped TiO(sub 2) active in the peroxidation of biomolecules under visible light
Article Abstract:
Doped TiO(sub 2) samples using different preparative procedures were synthesized using either urea or thiourea leading to N- or S-doped TiO(sub 2). Photocatalytic peroxidation and oxidation of phosphatidylethanolamine lipid with doped TiO(sub 2) were carried out under light irradiation lambda > 410 nm.
