Article Abstract:
The accumulation of knowledge has been growing at enormous rates during the past century. The advent of the computer has accentuated and perpetuated this rate of growth. Progress in microelectrics has been phenomenal; by the year 2000 a single micro-chip might be able to hold five million transistors. An educational system of life-long learning is needed to keep pace with these advancements. Education must be directed to people of all ages. Industry will also bear the brunt of teaching.
