Autosound Dealers Have New Priorities: Dealers Will Be Putting Cellular Under a Microscope
Article Abstract:
Auto electronics dealers who want to keep pace with today's market will find themselves dealing more in cellular telephones and security products. Many find that security products, from plastic masks to computerized sensing systems, now account for more than fifty percent of their sales. Cellular phone sales projections have manufacturers flocking to this new technology. Feature-phone- type models are what customers can expect. At the Summer Consumer Electronics Show exhibit viewers will find ETRs and flat-face head units are more prevalent. Most industry execs do not expect much activity in the auto CD area. But manufacturers of speaker systems will be attempting to convince consumers that powered speakers, rather than replacement systems, is the most cost-efficient way to step up to quality autosound.

Autosound Dealers Ride Three Roads to Success
Article Abstract:
The auto electronics center is increasing sales by promoting, demonstrating, and installing the product. Successful promotions are achieved by having a full staff, enough merchandise, and a well-thought out media blitz. Demonstrations can be held in sound rooms, perhaps with a manufacturer's representative on hand. Installation must be done by a qualified individual and is perhaps the most important element.
