Computer Disaster Recovery Centre
Article Abstract:
Failsafe has opened a computer center in London to provide disaster emergency services. It can be operational for a customer in four hours. Failsafe maintains another center in Lancashire that opened two years ago. The centers are worth eleven million pounds sterling. The London center has 11,500 square feet of space and uses an IBM 3081K which operates at fifteen million MIPS. The majority of the customers are financial organizations. Annual fees range for forty-four percent of disasters. Thus far none of Failsafe's subscribers have had to use the center's back up facilities. The location of the center and the Failsafe's client list are kept secret for security reasons.
