High-Tech Workstations
Article Abstract:
International Resource Development Inc. (IRD), Norwalk, Connecticut, predicts that up to $12 billion will be spent from 1985 to 1995 to equip top executives in the U.S. with high-technology workstations. Reluctance on the part of executives to use a keyboard will not be a deterrent because of voice, icon, mouse pointers, touch screens, and custom programmed function keys. According to the IRD study, eighty-five percent of executives will have workstations by 1995 in order to have meaningful information immediately available.
