High Temperature Materials. - A View With a Future
Article Abstract:
Technology continues to thrive in designing new materials to protect the environment from high temperature. Any new developments must consider cost effectiveness. The reduction of cost coupled with increased machine parts life with efficient operation is the underlying theme. Hot working dies require high strength and stability under high temperatures. Diesel engines require alloys to resist high temperatures as well. Ceramic insulation of combustion chambers are being developed currently. Photographs of production plants are included.

Sexual Harassment at Work - A Legal View
Article Abstract:
Sexual harassment is a contemporary problem in the modern workplace. Although English law is not clear in sexual harassment cases, a recent report by the TVC's Women's Advisory Committee categorizes behavior such as remarks, ridicule, deliberate abuse, offensive use of pin-ups, unwanted contacts and demands for sexual favors as grounds for legal action. Various legal avenues are available depending on the extent of the offense. A victim should keep a record of such incidents and report them to a union representative wherever possible.

Innovative Materials
Article Abstract:
An analysis of 100 structural and functional materials including engineering plastics and polymers will take place. These new materials will be identified and evaluated for technology and business potential. New materials can improve products and processes. A number of companies in the United States, Europe, and Japan will sponsor the study for transportation, manufacturing, and materials-producing companies.
