International seed company blends a mix of training resources for SAP implementation

Agribusiness firm and seed developer/distributor Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc. has begun to implement organization-wide SAP R/3 at its 40 offices worldwide. The SAP R/3 implementation was first initially conducted in Pioneer Hi-Bred's office in Italy. The company had relied extensively on its vendors for instructional design and courseware material development. Internal staff gradually took over the training functions and are expected to ensure the full deployment of SAP R/3 by fall 1998.

Georgia Power creates customized CBT
Article Abstract:
Utility firm Georgia Power is conducting employee training using custom CBTs aimed at teaching them the legal aspects of software licensing and various mandatory regulatory compliance guidelines. Georgia Power used the Design-A-Course software for the CBTs which does not require a programming background to be developed and maintained. It also offers afill-in-the blank software training system that allows users to cut and paste graphics and text from existing documentation.
