It's all in the extras
Article Abstract:
Quantex Microsystems' top-of-the-line $4,299 H-1331 notebook computer comes with a 266MHz MMX Pentium processor, 64MB of RAM expandable to 144MB, a 4GB hard disk drive, 20x CD-ROM drive, 56Kbps PC Card modem, dual lithium-ion batteries, a mini-docking station and a huge 13.3-inch active-matrix LCD. The system is powerful enough to act as a desktop replacement and includes many extra features designed to lower total cost of ownership. It uses Intel's new Tillamook mobile CPU with 512KB of cache for impressive performance on system benchmarks and has a screen resolution of 1,024 by 768 that displays excellent text and images. The 87-key keyboard is fairly comfortable, but the pressure-sensitive touchpad can be frustrating to use and the lack of tilt legs makes it difficult to obtain a comfortable typing angle. Quantex builds the H-1331 with a modular drive bay that can hold the CD-ROM, second battery or floppy drive. It supplies a port replicator for desktop connectivity. The H-1331 earns a Best Buy rating.
