Key Telephones: A Push Button Way to More Efficient Communication
Article Abstract:
Key telephones are the systems that are most in use, with electronic telephones the most selected system. These systems use CO, PX or tie lines. A key telephone offers various levels of service, an automatic console, connection of industry-standard single line telephones and interfacing with lines, terminals and system power supply. A microprocessor is used in the electronic key telephone system. These systems are used in homes and offices. Features include origination of outgoing calls, receipt of incoming calls, call hold, call transfer, voice page and a flexible ring service. Photographs and tables illustrate key telephones.

KDD Demonstrates Practicality of Video Conference System

The Kokusai Denshin Dnewa (KDD) Video Conference system consists of audio, video and graphic subsystems. This system is being tested at the KDD head office and the KDD Research and Development Laboratories. It is being used to link together two distant places. The system displays positive results in function and feasibility.
